How quickly does it work?

The persimmon tannin binds the odour compound from the very first wash, so it starts working immediately. Because the compound also sits in fabrics and bedding, the full change is usually obvious within the first week or two of daily use, once everything around you catches up.
Why is it more expensive than regular soap?

Persimmon extract at meaningful concentrations isn't cheap, the tannins that bind the odour compound have to be extracted from the fruit at levels high enough to actually work.

That's why many low-cost persimmon bars lean on fragrance instead: the name is on the box, the concentration often isn't. We put the budget into the extract, then round the bar out with shea butter, coconut oil and vitamin E, so it cares for skin while it works.
Is it gentle enough for daily use?

Yes, it's made for exactly that. Shea butter and coconut oil keep the daily wash soft on mature skin. If your skin is reactive, patch test first as you would with anything new.
How long does each bar last?

One bar covers about four weeks of daily washes, enough to make the morning routine a habit rather than a repurchase decision.

How long it actually lasts comes down to how it's stored: keep it on a draining dish and let it dry fully between uses and it goes the distance.
